Class Teacher Role 1.0 (Fixed-term Maternity Cover)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our team. The post is to cover maternity leave for the second part of the autumn term and is to start on 4th November 2019. Although this role is for a fixed-term there may be scope to extend the fixed-term period at a later date if agreeable.

 

KS2 Class Teacher

We are looking for an exuberant and dedicated class teacher to join our friendly and supportive staff team at Sun Hill Junior School. We became an Academy school on 1st September 2017 and we are now part of the Perins Multi Academy Trust. Our school is set in the heart of the lovely market town of Alresford and we are fortunate to be extremely well supported by parents and governors. We take pride in contributing to community life which is extremely important to us and a willingness to actively embrace this will be essential.

 

This could be an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, motivated newly-qualified teacher who is looking for teaching experience prior to additional training or travel. This could also be a role for a teacher who is returning to teaching or currently doing supply and would like the opportunity to try a short-term role.

 

The successful applicant will:

 

  • Is a strong classroom practitioner
  • Have high expectations of children of all attainment levels and an ability to motivate learners
  • Have a creative approach and a very good professional knowledge to deliver a meaningful curriculum
  • Be able to work effectively within a team sharing the teaching of a class as well as working successfully under their own steam and planning their own lessons.
  • Have ambition for themselves and the children in their care
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable them to engage with all members of the school community
  • Have high levels of self-motivation and be committed to their own continuing professional development.

1-1 Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

  • Hours of Work: 1 hour and 20 mins daily, term time only (11.50am – 1.10pm)

 We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Lunchtime Cover 1:1 support for a pupil who has specific learning and physical needs.

Applicants should:

  • Enjoy working with children
  • Be a committed team member
  • Be patient and flexible with initiative
  • Be confident to develop a child’s independence
  • Demonstrate good communication skills
  • Be able to work closely and effectively with all parties including class teacher and LSA's
  • Understand confidentiality and safeguarding or be willing to undertake training in these areas

Preferable:

  • Have experience of supporting children with additional needs including; communication and interaction
  • Have experience of working with equipment to meet physical needs
