Sue Griffths is the Head Teacher of Sun Hill Junior School.
Sue Pakenham-Walsh is the Chair of Governors at Sun Hill and a Member and Trustee at Perins, where she has been a governor for six years (three years as Chair). Prior to that, she was Chair of Governors at Chawton Primary School. She is also Safeguarding governor. Having spent 30 years working in various marketing and communication roles, she has lived locally for eight years and has three sons, all of who went to Perins. In her spare time, she loves nothing more than spending time with her family, friends and dog.
Katy Toms is Vice Chair at Sun Hill Juniors. She has been a Governor for more than eight years and is the Chair of Governors of the Dever Valley Federation and a Trustee of Perins Multi-Academy Trust.. She has a son currently attending Perins School and another who will be joining him next year, her daughter attends Peter Symonds College. She is the Treasurer and Trustee of two Winchester based Charities, The Northbrook Hall and Winchester Street Reach and also a Parish Councillor for Micheldever. She is employed as an Administrator by three Winchester Pre-schools. The rest of her time is spent swimming, cycling and running and she frequently competes in multi-discipline endurance races both in the UK and abroad.
Sarah Bayless is a parent governor. She has been part of the Sun Hill community for five years, with both her older boys Dylan (5B) and Ethan (3C) starting in year F and her youngest Lucas due to start next September. She works part time as a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Winchester. In addition to teaching and research she enjoys the pastoral care aspects of her job, personal tutoring, as well as working on curriculum development.
Ady Cobb is a parent governor. A self-employed plumber, he has lived in Alresford for 45 of the last 50 years, having lived in London for some time too. He attended Sun Hill in the 70s and loved his time there. He has a son who has just left Sun Hill and started Perins this autumn. He has a second son in Y5 and a daughter who will start Sun Hill in September 2018. His passion is rugby and he plays for Alresford men's teams and coaches Alresford Mini's on Sunday's during the season.
Paul Oxley is a parent governor. Paul has a son who attends Sun Hill Junior School and is currently in Y5 and his daughter is due to join the school in two years’ time, currently attending Sun Hill Infant School. He has been a member of the school PTA. Paul is a qualified actuary and has worked in the finance industry for the last 18 years. In his spare time Paul enjoys running, walking his dog, playing football and supports Tottenham Hotspur. In April 2017, Paul completed the London marathon.
Ben Gower is a parent governor. Ben has lived in Alresford for over 18 years. He has two children; Joshua in Year 4 (SHJS) and Oliver in Year 1 (SHIS, who will attend at the Junior School in 2020). Ben is Managing Director of Kattel, a specialist ecommerce agency and a former town councillor. In his spare time he enjoys road cycling, mountain biking and karate.
Marie-Louise Woods is a staff governor and teaches Y6. She has lived in Alresford for more than 15 years Alresford where we have enjoyed living ever since. Both of her children have been to all of the Alresford schools; the eldest is now at Alton College and the youngest is in Year 11 at Perins. She has been teaching for over ten years and worked in Publishing before that. She has taught (in some capacity) in all three Alresford schools; Sun Hill Infants and Juniors and Perins. Any spare time is often spent socialising with friends and family, being outdoors (on the water or in the hills) and walking her dog Bingo.
